Our friends at Chimmuwa have made these beautiful face masks using Natural Dye that was the result of a special workshop they held at their compound.
Each mask is made with the same care used for all their products, and each design is totally unique. A small piece of art.

Made by a member of the Mro-Khimi, one of the 53 subgroups of the Chin and one of the earliest settlers in what is now called Rakhine State.
The Elephant has been used by all people in South East Asia, and has therefore a special meaning. The fabric used for these elephants is not specific Mro, even though they have a long tradition of weaving. The current situation in Burma makes getting materials rather complicated.
