Immediately after we opened our Tea Garden, with a variety of food from all over Burma, people started to ask how these dishes were made. This led to the start of our cooking class and the publication of our first Cook Book.
Mo Mo started in our kitchen while Bo Bo served in the garden. Together they created the dishes and when Bo Bo came with his knowledge of the foods from Burma, the narrative for our cookbook was born.
Artists from the Gallery Collective provided illustrations and a local printshop was found to make a small cookbook that be easy to work with in a kitchen and not be too expensive.
Three years later our first edition was sold out and we reprinted the book with a few changes. In 2013 we printed our third edition and in 2016 we added pages, dishes and used recycled paper and some plant based ink. Including the wonderful cover, the book has 60 pages with recipes for 8 snacks, 9 salads, 10 main courses and 5 drinks. Stories about the food and beautiful drawings complement this book, which is also a beautiful gift.
